My brother asked me to bake a blueberry pie for his birthday dinner...I took a few liberties...
- Blueberry Tart

- Blueberries!
- Farmers' Market!
- 1 - Tart pan, inherited from my mom.
- 2 - First, the crust... Sugar and butter. I decided to go low-tech and avoid the cuisinart...
- 3 - Almond flour—$16.99 per pound!
- 4 - Zest of one lemon... will use the juice in the blueberry mixture.
- 5 - The crust uses both regular and almond flour...
- 6 - Fresh Farmers' Market blueberries!!!!
- 7 - Pumpkin
- 8 - tossed the blueberries with tapioca, sugar, sea salt and lemon juice, then put them into the pre-baked tart shell.
- 9 - decided to throw on some crumble topping, but not cover all the blueberries... Want that gorgeous color to be seen! Simple crumble is just flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Oh. And butter.
- 10 - Next, I rolled out the remaining dough and cut shapes to decorate the top.
- 11 - Pumpkin
- 12 - Pumpkin
- 15 - Into the oven!
- 16 - Pumpkin
- 17 - Pumpkin
- 18 - Pumpkin
- Wow. Just hope it is as yummy as it looks!
