How to Be Beautiful and Confident No Matter Your Size

Learn to love yourself for who you are.

Feeling beautiful is easier said than done. When your one day of feeling not-so-pretty turns into two or three days of feeling not-so-thin, you have to stay the course and dig deep to build your confidence. Understand that there are a range of human shapes and sizes, and you simply fall somewhere within that spectrum. To gain confidence and feel beautiful regardless of what you look like, you must focus on your best attributes. Does this Spark an idea?

1 - Learn to love yourself for who you are.

Identify at least one thing about yourself that you absolutely adore, even if it's just a simple mole above your lip or your tiny wrists. Use that feature as your go-to quality when you're feeling down. Remember everyone has something to admire.

2 - Ditch the comparisons. 

Understand that everyone is different in every little way. Take a day to people-watch while sitting outside at a coffee shop or park bench. Notice all the distinctive subtleties that make up everyone that passes you by. See for yourself that not everyone has a perfect body shape or face like a cover model.

3 - Make your own choices when it comes to your personal style. 

Avoid the pressure of asking for the opinion of others on your clothing and other matters. Have your own say when it comes to representing the uniqueness in you. When you receive compliments on something you've selected for yourself, it will make a world of difference.    

4 - Wear figure-flattering clothing to accentuate your best features.

 Take the time to learn what style of clothes fits your body best, and which size is most accurate for you. Buy a bra with super support and at least one pair of really well-fitting jeans. No matter what size you are, there are clothing options to suit your shape and make you always look your best.      

5 - Be nice to those who surround you.

 When you put out positive energy, you'll receive it in return. You'll find that you will feel great by simply telling someone to have a good day.     

6 - Spruce yourself up. 

Exercise with the intention of building and maintaining health. But if vanity motivates you to get up and moving, use whatever it takes to create a healthier lifestyle.  

7 - Do small things to make yourself feel amazing.

 Get a new haircut or a regular pedicure. Dress up even for a day of running errands. Let the combination of looking and feeling your best catapult you to the level where you feel beautiful on a daily basis.

8 - Rid your life of negative people. 

Surround yourself with people who like you for who you are, and not for what you can do for them. Find a tight-knit circle of real friends, even if that limits you to one or two key people. Avoid stressful situations that you can control such as a nagging boyfriend or a needy friend.

9 - Spoil yourself every once in a while. 

When you've reached an important milestone or completed a pesky task, reward yourself with a facial, a book you've wanted to buy or even some down time. Keep yourself motivated with positive reinforcements.
