I've been wanting to make a succulent terrarium for a while now, and it was a beautiful day to garden!

Supplies Used

• A variety of succulents (I used three, but the number of plants you'll need will depend on the size of the container you want to use).
• Decorative stones
• Cactus, palm and citrus soil
• A glass container
• Charcoal
• Spade (optional...depends how dirty you're willing to get)

Instructions

• Succulent terrariums!
• I couldn't decide which succulents I wanted to use, so I might have over done it. But can you blame me? They're so cute!
• So much texture
• First things first, add a layer of rocks to the container to create the base of the drainage system.
• Add a layer of charcoal. The charcoal will help generate air filtration within the terrarium.

• Add a layer of soil on top of the charcoal.
• Loosen the root soil of the succulents before planting them in the container.
• The first plant is in place! I'm going to add three since the jar is relatively small.

• Second succulent!
• All three succulents!
• Add a few more decorative rocks
• Time for water! Pour enough to just get the soil damp.
• The final products!
