Creativebug published a workshop on Shrinky Dink jewelry that lit me up with ideas and inspiration. I’ve loved Shrinky Dinks for years without realizing all the things you can do with them.
Shrinky Dink projects are easy enough for children (with adult supervision) but still sophisticated enough to challenge adults. Plus, the process is magical. As the dink heats up, it twists and curls, then flattens out again. The finished piece is one-third the size but nine times the thickness of the original. I could try to figure out how that works, but I’d rather spend my time drawing dinks.
Robot magnets.
Bear buttons.
Fish earrings.
Queen of Hearts brooch.
An occasional failure shouldn’t dampen your enthusiasm. Just try again.

One thing: this kind of fun is addictive. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
